February 20 general manager of Coca‑Cola HBC Eurasia Stefanos Vafeidis acted as one of the key experts of the Krasnoyarsk Economic Forum session "Big business. Strategy-2030 through the eyes of corporate strategy", telling about the role of business in the long-term development of the Russian economy.

Session united directors and vice-presidents of major companies from different business sectors: metallurgy, transportation, energy, FMCG. The participants shared their views on the strategy of socio-economic development until 2030 and the role of big business in this development.

The development of the Russian economy is impossible without the participation of business and investors. During its presence in Russia Coca‑Cola system has invested more than $ 4 billion in the Russian economy. Stefanos Vafeidis noted that, being a company with international capital, Coca‑Cola HBC Eurasia is a local player in the Russian market. The company operates 12 plants producing beverages and juices throughout the country, employs 10 thousand Russians and pays taxes to the regional budget.

He also added, "As a long-term investor in the Russian economy we believe that transparent and predictable business climate is key to sustainable economic development. Business community salutes the position of the President of Russia who in his annual Assignment to the Parliament confirmed that it’s important not to “worsen the state of taxpayers" by enacting legislation levying new taxes by 2018. We appreciate a dialogue with the Russian government as we continue developing our business and community investments in the country".

Krasnoyarsk Economic Forum was held from 18 to 20 February 2016 and traditionally opened the business and public season in Russia.
